エゾリスの会によるオミナエシ植栽地の管理作業と植物調査。

8月17日の午前中は、エゾリスの会の里山作り活動がありました。航空法で伐採された土地の一部に昨年オミナエシを移植および播種しましたが、今日はその区画の周りに再び侵入したオオアワダチソウを抜き取ってオミナエシが拡がっていけるようにしました。またオミナエシ育成区内に混在する他の種類の雑草も除去しました。これらの作業を終えたのち、オミナエシ育成区に至る園路の除草と剪定も行いました。
IkさんとItさんがブラックライトを持ってこられて、活動の合間に、各種の樹木の切り口やそれらを挿した水にブラックライトを当てると発光する様子を見せてくださいました。
強く発光する樹木としてはアオダモがあるそうです。今日は近くにアオダモがありませんでしたが、ヤチダモやヤマグワも発光しました。菌類や昆虫、鉱物の中にも発光するものがあって面白いそうです。
午後には植物調査がありました。今日はイチゲフウロ、ミツバフウロ、ゲンノショウコの３種類を確認できました。実りの秋を迎え、キンミズヒキ、ヤブハギ、ミズヒキ、ハエドクソウ、ガガイモ、ノブキなど花と実が混在する植物も多くありました。調査途中から雨が降ってきて、調査が終わる頃には本降りになりました。
今日も自転車で来ていたので、濡れて帰るもの仕方ないなと思いましたが、会員のNさんが自転車を車の後部スペースに載せて、私を家まで送って下さいました。大変有難かったです。

8月24日はエゾリスの会によるチョウ調査が行われました。久しぶりの快晴でミドリシジミ類やアゲハ類を見ることができました。往路の道沿いでもキアゲハを見ることができました。この数日雨が十分に降ったので、森の植物も活き活きとしていました。快晴で往路の道沿いから日高山脈がきれいに見えるはずだったのですが、畜大の牧草地に新型の太陽光発電施設が建設され始め、景観がぶち壊しになっていました。この数年各種の産学共同研究が推し進められ、その影で失うものも大きいと思います。
今日のチョウの調査にははるばる霧多布湿原センターの新任の職員さんが参加して下さいました。早朝（未明）に浜中を出発してこられたそうです。若い方のエネルギーに感心しました。
